Howdy folks,

Before I ever thought of buying a Murray Cod I was always interested in Trout Cod.
These poor buggers are super endangered and scientists are having trouble trying to breed them in captivity to get their numbers back up. It wont be long before they are extinct according to some sources.

I know that some of the Aussies here are able to get into contact with fisheries or vendors.
Well, I'm after one now and am after any info about obtaining one there is.

Cheers in advance.

Here is an example of differences between Trout and Murray Cod.

No take species, you won't find them in the hobby I'm afraid. Best bet is find a poorly marked and bland murray and pretend it's a TC.

Damn, I knew that this would be a hard chase.

I have seen them in tanks on the internet, mainly owned by breeding farms.

Maybe in a decade once they figure out how to breed them on large scales.

what size is the fish?

if its a trout cod and its urs ill beat any offer to buy it!

been searching for 3 years for one no where in sight.

Yup, just looks like a normal Murray, which is good, Murray's Rock! 8D
