Trout Cod

Howdy folks,

Before I ever thought of buying a Murray Cod I was always interested in Trout Cod.
These poor buggers are super endangered and scientists are having trouble trying to breed them in captivity to get their numbers back up. It wont be long before they are extinct according to some sources.

I know that some of the Aussies here are able to get into contact with fisheries or vendors.
Well, I'm after one now and am after any info about obtaining one there is.

No take species, you won't find them in the hobby I'm afraid. Best bet is find a poorly marked and bland murray and pretend it's a TC.

Damn, I knew that this would be a hard chase.

I have seen them in tanks on the internet, mainly owned by breeding farms.

Yes, it's mine and ard 12cm. (4-5")
But, still need every body's help to ID...
BTW, as I know, there are 4 species of cods in AUS...do u have another 2 kinds of cods's pixt for sharing?

Looks like a norm murray cod to me.
