My cousin and I went to some old rock quarries where they stock trout and bass. Caught 13-15 total, but these were the largest. I think the biggest was only about 14 inches, but they were perfect eating size.

They were very tasty. A little butter, some onions, carrots, some butter lawrys, mrs dash, and wrap em up in tinfoil and stickem on the grill! :D Delicious.

Mmmmm. Nothing like eating freshly caught trout. I like to cook them whole- Season flour with salt and pepper, coat both sides of the fish with the flour, melt butter in the skillet, cook on the stove top medium for 4-5 minutes a side, and vualla! Not much flavoring, but fresh trout does not need it.

nice catch! u paid for them though?

There is a parking fee at the quarries, but my cousin already has a year pass, and we all rode together, so no, not really.

That sounds good. Do you remove the head? Do you remove the skin? I filleted the biggest one, just to see what it was like (very easy) but the rest I just gutted, and cut the head off.

nice trout I havent went for them since opening day

Yea, that was really the first time I had fished for them. All we did was use slip bobbers, and a full nightcrawler. It was a lot of fun. Wish we could have hooked into some bigger ones, but these were great for eating.
