In tanks in basements browns might stand a chance. As long as the temp doesn't stay at 75f or higher for long. If it would be at an average of 72f or below with enough flow/d.o. a brown could survive. They do in many small streams around here were they are introduced. If the tank is 80f or above they actually melt. My brook trout did that. Big heat wave, no chiller and ran out of ice.
Best temp to keep any trout at would be in the mid 60's even mid 50's would be best.

I agree, this is the reason so few people keep Trout or coldwater species of Darters and Grayling; even though some of them are the most beautifull fish the world has to offer, the space and temps they need make it more costly than Centrarchids , Shiners, Chubs, Madtoms, Topminnows, Killifish,Sculpins,Minnows and Bullheads which make up the majority of NA natives kept by aquarists.
