True Festae????

Looks like urothalmus, not the true festae.

no way, i've collected hundreds of them, including ones that have the same colors as a festae (have a female now). this guy's body is completely wrong for a mayan, but i wouldn't rule out a mayan hybrid... once he's comfortable he should look different, then post pics! good luck!
 
I haven't been on here in a couple of days. I just wanted to know if you got this fish yet. I think its mostly the camera flash that makes it look silver and white. I 'd like to see a pic of it again once it's settled in your tank.
 
Looks festae to me. Eyespot not large enough to be a Uro nor is it positioned properly to be considered one. Light spangling and acute face points to possible female, but could also be a very inbred male or one very far removed from F0 stock. F0/F1 male festae almost never lose spangling even when stressed. Their base color can change when stressed but I've never seen spangling come and go. Who knows?
