True Freshwater Puffers

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
South American puffers grow to 3" & like to hang out in schools. They do need regular dentistry though. How big is the tank in question?

I have Colomesus asellus (Peruvian Puffer). It is written that it is a very mild mannered puffer but might fin nip and it is a freshwater puffer and that is why I bought it. I had mine for about two months in freshwater with no problems. It is a nice looking puffer and mine is about 3 inches which is not too small.

They do prefer to live in a group of 3 or more: http://www.**************.com/forum/library/puffers-in-focus/sap/
Might as well read this one too: http://www.**************.com/forum/library/hospital/dentistry/
