Hi all,

I am new to this website. I am the proud owner of a true giant gourami. I call HIM pink....I'm pretty sure he's a boy because he has a pointed dorsal fin like males described in the books. I'm posting because I would really like to find this awesome fish a new home. I bought him in Rochester, MN for about 25.00 at maybe 4 inches and in two years he's exploded to probably 12 inches and quite a few pounds although it's hard to capture him without a commotion. He's light pink with yellow eyes and doesn't have the disfiguring look that pictures of mature giant gouramis have. He's not a nasty grey lumpy looking thing either. He is however quite aggressive and a very voracious eater. He will eat right out of your hand and you do sometimes get bit ;) as his teeth have become quite sharp recently. I do have a 100 gallon tank that he should be in, but I got a little selfish and filled it with african cichlids instead. I feel so bad but I'm really hoping there is SOMEONE out there that wants Pink. He really is so cool and quite the monster and I just love showing him off, but he's confined to a way too small 40 gallon breeder tank. I change the water quite regularly along with the filters (extra filtration for him as he's quite messy). His condition looks perfect to me....long beautiful fins and he's very active as he will charge at you from the other side of the tank.

So is there anyone out there interested in my monster? I really do want to keep him, but I am a poor college student and just don't have the money or room for a several hundred gallon tank. Pink deserves better.

To those of you interested I live in La Crosse, Wisconsin but I don't know that this guy is really shippable by the mail....hell I've never done fish sale or purchase over the net. As far as pricing goes, it depends on what the circumstances are I guess....it's very negotiable as I am looking to make sure he gets a good home rather than just dump him off somewhere.....that's just not responsible. I would probably just need help with transport.....

The pictures I've added aren't all the most current and he's in a bigger tank now than in the photos.
