True green terror

im getting an order from cihlaholic.com ,and was wondering if

AEQUIDENS RIVULATUS " ECUADOR" is a true green terror​

I've heard of these before, I believe that are Wild Suams not True Rivulatus

Hi, the true rivulatus is from Ecuador, not Peru. Günther described the rivulatus from rio esmeralda. The other species called saums and suams Its discovered after, and this species still must to be described.

Well if it is actually a Aequidens rivulatus then it would be a true "green terror" (not that the name "green terror means anything, its just a nonsense common name). The real question is is the fish actually what the seller is saying it is...

ask for a pic of them if they are the true green terror, they dont have orange on their fins.

That will be a 'suam' as we know it in the trade.

or

I am aware that a description for Aequidens rivulatus used an Ecuador-collected sample.

However, the 'true rivulatus' as we know it in the trade IS the smaller, faster and more aggressive riverine species found in the highlands north of Lima.
