Mine's in a Cichlid coomunity tanks, pretty shy, keeps to himself unless his territory is entered, then he'll chase the intruder off, but that's about it.!

Your parrot was wild caught?
Yes I got him online from Wetspot he was said to be wild caught and was 4" when I got him. This was 4 years ago. They were more rare 4 years ago.

These guys change colors so much depending on mood. Here is my old one . One of the best looking Cichlids of all times. They are so pretty !
Here he was 5"

Here he was 8-9"

I have my 6 in with some Geos and a couple Uaru. They really don't bother anyone. They pick on each other more than the other fish.

Nice looking fish

I have two with an oscar a male festae and some small growouts. All about the same size. No issues aside from the bigger parrot picking on the smaller one some. Not overly aggressive though.

Timely topic.. I just rehomed 2 parrots. They shared the tank with H. Pearsei and well the parrots were too aggressive towards the pearsei so they had to go.

I had one for a little while but he was a bit of a jerk so I gave him away. Mine certainly wasn't peaceful but I'm pretty sure his aggression was mainly towards other cichlids. I think an aro and knife would be fine.
