Mine always had to be the dominant fish in the tank. I didn't keep him with other psittacus. He would fight constantly with lenticulata pikes and I had to remove a chocolate cichlid that he tormented, but he mostly ignored large geos and severums as long as they didn't push back.

If it's a male you'll need a large tank; they end up being 12 - 14" fish.

Ok nice, well I'm getting rid of the other parrot so he is the only fish. He only chases the other parrot and goes at it with my chocolate pair but as a pair they are hard to fully beat. He ignores smaller fish though which is great for my keyholes and rainbow. Can't wait to get him to that size must looks stunning full grown thanks for the reply

Alexxxxsv14 Alexxxxsv14 its actually not that hard to add the PFS. Fill a 1 gallon milk jug 3/4 of the way up with sand and literally pour it across the surface of your aquarium under water. Then just mix it with your black. On my new 75 I went with a 2:1 white to black sand mix and it really lightened my Haitiensis up. If you need a visual of adding the sand you can find videos on YouTube. It's really easy and hassle free.
Here is an example of the difference of their colors
