there are speculations that this batch of captive bred juveniles are cross breed of lapradei with either endlicheri endlicheri or endlicheri congicus.

just a ~3" specimen:

ansorgii

Looks like a juvie ansorgii as it got more finlets than the hybrids. Hybrid usually have 10-12 finlets.

Here is a lap x endli hybrid. The color of endli x lap hybrid can also be tell apart from ansorgii, endli or lap as it got a very dark redish brown.

thanks.

that hybrid definitely look much darker than what i have.

i believe these are "real" ones. However, imho, the markings on the tail is rather similar to cb endlicheri. Hence, having the doubt as indonesia once did a xbreed on congi and endlicheri.

Markings on the tail doesn't make a difference, captive breed or wild caught.

hi bro, what u mean is the tail marking doesn't make a difference regardin whether its wild caught anot? cos i was thinking the makings on the tail look rather similar as juvenile endi.

Some endli or ansorgii will have marking like that and some not. Even laps will have markings like that as well. Most lower jaw juvie bichirs have darker tail markings.
