You talking about Eddies in Latham? The have one for the same price about 5-6" not very nice looking IMO. (referring to the one at Eddies not the OP's)

No. This store is The City Zoo in Elmira. Not sure on the quality of it. I know nothing when it comes to hybrids.

How do you know for sure they are offspring from a texas and or red devil/midas? I'm just asking because I see a lot of fader fh in them. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm not afraid to admit that like most people that thinks they have the answer for everything about hybrids.

Also, have they spawn before? I would leave them in the tank together.... you'll be surprised to see how the male play his part when taking care of the fry. I have some fry from my rose queen and texas now that just started to free swim and the texas help the female and he takes really good care of the fry for it to be his first spawn ever.

Understand the breeder said that what he breed yo get them i didnt actually im just going by the research and knowledge of other RT breeders.

Please forgive the flowerhorn newbie question and thread derail, but what is a 'fader'?

Faders are called by that name because during the juvenile period of life they lose their color and go completely black. As the fading process continues, the black "fades" away, leaving a more vibrant and beautiful color, usually yellow or red. They are also referred to as golden base or Golden Trimac
