He never said it had to be alive =-( Think of it this way, it's easy to feed and does not require any water changes.

I was going to offer guarantee dead on arrival also =-(

It's chillen...literally. I actually sold it and the person who bought it from me killed it =-(

Let me share some thoughts in regards to my position on the way I view the hobby now a days.

Tell you the truth bro it's not worth spending that much money. I know it's up to the buyer and what the buyer want's to spend. But to spend THOUSANDS of dollars on a fish because of popularity and the so called fact that's it's rare is just crazy to me now a days. This is how things play out when you buy a fish worth thousand's of dollars.

1. You buy fish you are excited w/glee

2. You post pictures and everyone and there mama jocks you.

3. The constant praise feels good because like all men we have ego's.

4. This goes on for a few weeks/months until the praises stop and then you have a second to think about what you just spent to have this fish.

5. Then someone post's the same fish that they were able to get @ a LFS for $19.99, now this really steals the thunder away from the excitement.

6. Then you have visitors come over your house who is not into fish. You start to brag and spill the beans on how much this fish is worth. They look at you as if you are really STUPID or just dumb for paying so much for fish.

7. Then you start to feel guilt because that money could have been used for more appropriate things then to be jocked on a FISH FORUM that is 99.9% MALE... it's not even women you are impressing, well maybe 1%...haha..

8. Then you'll want to try to sell it and hopefully find someone who will buy it.

Being a fish hobbyist for so many years and an active member on several boards which I've had my share of opportunities on attaining many rare fish, my conclusion is that it's just simply not worth it.

If this Snow Aro was like maybe $200 tops... that's fair, but thousands.....no way.

Everyone has their own opinion on things but would just hate for you to waste your money for something not worth it.

People on this board post to show off, including myself. But after the dust settles and you have a clearer view of things..... it all makes sense.

Strangely enough a couple of people on this board I have respect for as a hobbyist is "REVERSE", why you might ask. Well here's a dude that's pretty active who keep's fish that he likes and is content. I'm not even sure if this guy have ever posted pictures of his fish. My point is he doesn't need to jump on the bandwagon just to be part of the hobby. Sure he instigates at times but i actually get his sarcasm humor. There are many like him that I can respect.

Another person is JohnPtc. This guy can pretty much buy whatever RARE fish that is out there that he wants. But to spend THOUSAND's of dollars on fish that is not pratical and is just for hype he doesn't even bother.

The fish I have now in my collection I've pretty much have gotten for free. I guess that is why now I can merely enjoy the hobby for what it is and not have to worry about spending so much money on fish I want.

Good luck on your search and hopefuly you find one without spending so much for it.

When you spend thousands of dollars on fish it becomes borderline crazy/stupid imo...

what banks does 1000 bands for hundreds, should be $10,000 bands, you band those yourself?

koop171;3188461; said:
Alot of banks around here (ohio) do that. they will get in 10K bands and 1K bands. depending on the size of the bank. My bank also does the 1K bands and the bank that my G/F mother works at does 10K and 1K. but it you pull out 10K you have to fill out paperwork. for the gov. so go in and get 2 5K withdraws lol.

I dont know if I've ever even seen banded bills. I'll just head back to my shopping cart now...:(
