glad he made it there safely! he's definitely larger than the last one...and thicker than i thought too (i only get to view those fish dorsally as they are in larger fiberglass tanks). will reserve other comments for a bit later

i'm heading down to the US later this year...definately want to do something gar!! unfortunately i don't think the itinerary is going to allow it though

Wow, amazing how different he looks from mine! Hopefully his pattern will darken up once he gets more accustomed to the tank.
On a side note, my spotted gars pattern (and my shortnose gars pattern) has changed just in the week that they've been in the pond...

have to say I find it sad that one needs to actually say "True" spotted gar or "true" Alligator gar.....
