glad he made it there safely! he's definitely larger than the last one...and thicker than i thought too (i only get to view those fish dorsally as they are in larger fiberglass tanks). will reserve other comments for a bit later :) --

i'm heading down to the US later this year...definately want to do something gar!! unfortunately i don't think the itinerary is going to allow it though:(

Wow, amazing how different he looks from mine! Hopefully his pattern will darken up once he gets more accustomed to the tank.

On a side note, my spotted gars pattern (and my shortnose gars pattern) has changed just in the week that they've been in the pond...

Mine's a plat! JK of course.

Just flushed out from the lab and the white styrofoam box. It's already darkened up a bit over my black substrate.
