no kidding. i thought if it had spots on the head it's obviously a spotted...???


he should definitely color up in time (wasn't going to comment until you made your platinum spotted joke ); i moved one of the other large specimens to a tank at home a couple months ago...it was flushed at the lab but darkened up with a pretty vivid pattern after just a day or so. definitely keep us updated with pics as he changes to his "normal" pattern!

on a side note related to spotteds, the wild spot that i just moved into GDII (pictured in my "gar-tease" thread) took cut tilapia on the first try just last night...probably worth trying with any gar even if they are raised on live--
