Plus some cool Dude who has friends at a yet unmentioned fish store might just end up with some cool Bichirs....

Or maybe some ******* like me.... if I stop buying fricken reptiles...

Got another crested gecko and a cool Leopard Gecko from one of the top breeders Ron Tremper on the way home from RCA lol...

Wait a minute, you can't blame MFK'ers for your shortcomings. You made several mistakes in your sale to MFK'ers. You were not flexible in selling your fish. First mistake, it was pickup only and if you had to ship, requirement was that the amount had to be $250 or more. Second, with your asking price of individual specimen, I could go to the source so there was no benefit from buying from you. Third, you lowered the price of your collection and never individual pieces. I wanted some of the fish but not all. A lot of us MFK'ers are collectors ourselves and have other bichirs in the collection and do not want more of the same.

it is definitely a big loss for you and some of us who wanted a few of the specimens. sorry, if i sounded harsh.

Lymiq does sound a tad bit harsh, maybe even a little insensitive , but I understand exactly where he is coming from. I know I would have gladly purchased a few or your bichirs, shipping included, just maybe not 250 worth.

I agree...I looked at your sale...it really excluded a lot of possible buyers with the restrictions.

Some LFS now has a wicked collection of bichirs and room to negotiate prices.

Desperate sellers usually get taken... I sold my ex's $4000 engagement ring for $800. Don't feel too bad... it happens.

It's not a sad day in bichir history..it's a sad day in your history...but you'll make it.

You still have a nice collection....enjoy it.

I was too forward or passionate in my comment (but never insensitive) only because collection was sold for much much less than what was offerred to fellow MFK'ers; and then somehow we're at fault for not owning them prized specimen. I know this is after the fact now but I did truly wanted to purchase a few myself -- but the deal wasn't good at the time and I held back. Of course the fish shop wouldn't take them either at what was asked. They named their price, we weren't allowed to begin with. I'm sorry but the truth hurts. Like stonefish said, what you have left is still awesome. You'll get back on your feet some day.

Sorry you had to sell yor collection.Count the loss as tuition in life lessons.Hold off on rebuilding your collection till your life is more settled,hate to see you go through this again.
