Here in WA we get trees like that on the beach all the time. There are a few right now almost that big, and more go awash with strong winds now and then. But that person doesn't look like he was actually there for the pic.

i live in WA as well and grew up on the beach i have seen some massive trees and root balls appear during high tide than be gone a few weeks later.

could be real, it looks a little off, but i would believe it.

The pic looks allot like the Organ coast so..could be a redwood.
