phew. well it's done. i've removed all the rocks and added silica sand. that sucked. i can't believe i had to pay $30 for 40lb of sand! this island really needs to settle down. anyways, the only snails that were allowed to stay were the ones that clinged to the driftwood as i removed it. i even shook it in the water to get rid of the ones that weren't determined enough to hang on.
