dorsal fins look totally different

1 and 4 are dull 2 and 3 are pointed, doesnt it seem that way?

Not quite sure what you mean, its dorsal is getting pointed its anal fin i'd say is still more round though its been changing a bit aswell to a more pointed look. Its pelvic fins are definitely pointed with long extensions though you can't see them in the pics.

That's a male.
The fin pattern says it all along with the darker shades on the body.

By fin pattern do you mean its colors or the shape of the fins? My crappy camera couldn't pick up much of its color especially in the fins lots of blues green, yellow and iridesence.

i mean the black patterns on the dorsal anal and tail.
male jags will have those, yours is obviously gonna have some nice ones.
the fin point also says alot.

Yup all the same fish, the third pic down was taken with a flash which bought out more of its purple hue though.
