I match the temp then turn the valve and send the water to the tank. I have active carbon in the chamber to help remove some chlorine from the tap water.

That’s what I do too. All tanks except the 10gal are by windows so the water goes right outside. I wouldn’t have it any other way. So easy.

Ok so I have the Aqueon python not the original. It comes with the grey plastic adapter on top that will fit the old normal flow faucets. It wouldn't work on my faucets had to go buy one to fit the new low flow faucets, silver one on bottom in the picture.

Old style screwed into the facet (inside thread). New style screws onto the facuet (outside thread).

I just found a fitting that would screw into my kitchen tap, superglued that to a short section of hose and then attached a garden hose fitting. Now I can use any hose to fill and drain my tank.

Any suggestions?
I can't have a python or any other hose like that cause the only sink that would work is about 75 ft away from the 150 gallon location. Now I don't want to pay the crazy amount asked for the python at that length. I have a sink and bath about 20 ft away from the tank. Is there any way to make a DIY hose to hook onto the bathtub or sink faucet? I really don't want to carry 75 gallons of water every other day.

If the $30 or so for a 100 ft of PVC hose to replace the Python's hose is a crazy amount for you, maybe you need to find a cheaper hobby. :)

For the closer one...You'll have to look at the fitting on the tap and poke around the hardware store to find an adapter.

wait are you saying that i can just buy a python attachment and buy my one 100ft hose?
i could do that but I've been looking online and in stores and the pythons are expensive. I am definitely going to do some research

I think it’s aquanon that has a cheaper version of the python. You could look into that.
