Trying a new system for water changes

I don't know about the "Python" branded one. But the Aqueon one you can. I broke the original one I got on the store. Chewy.com sells the whole main valve body assembly for like 10 bucks or so.

i could do that but I've been looking online and in stores and the pythons are expensive. I am definitely going to do some research

Sure, or you could buy some adapters like these, these are $10 or so. And even they're more expensive than necessary if you piece the bits together yourself.

You could replace the facaute with one that does, but you mentioned funds, so get the part I linked you, and a hundred foot hose for it and done the cheapest way I think.

Ya easier said than done. I am spending $300 on a tank and it comes with everything but lights and heaters. I estimate around $200 for lights and $50 for heaters I don't have money to buy a python that long. I am going to do some research and see if there is anyway that I can just make myself one for under $50.

Ya that part looks good. But I can't screw it into the faucet. Can you get me a link to a hose that is 100' long? I don't know which would be the best/safe/same as the python

I was in the same boat for the kitchen faucet and the bathroom sink faucet...

What kind of shower head do you have?

With mine I have the detachable shower head for washing the dog, I bought an adaptor for the python and the shower head.

When I fill my tank I just unscrew my shower head add the python, match the water temperature, pull up on the shower knob and vola!!
