Trying a new waterproofing rubber!!

This really looks like a "to good to be true"..man, this has so many potential applications, it makes my head hurt.
Looking forward to all updates.
 
I'm in talks with this USA company now. I'm going to try and get a few gallons to try it out. They're mostly geared towards the commercial roofing market.
 
cant wait to know myself, would make my next few builds a lot cheaper than expected, let me know what you find out about the US brand.
 
I contacted liquid rubber directly and they said that a store, about 30mins from me, carried it.

I sure hope it works like i think it will,because i bought all the plywood today! i will start a new thread of the build and link it here.

I should add that the piece of plywood that i tested it on is still holding stonge. I cannot get it off of the plywood at all. if i use a knife, the rubber will come off but rips up the first layer of plywood with it. so i think sticking to plywood is not an issue at all!
 
that is awesome news man. where are u gonna buy it from? i live a couple hours from hamilton, where the company is based. I guess i should call and ask if they have any retailers in the bruce county area. i bought my plywood this past weekend and ive been itching to get started. am i ever glad i came across this post, this would save me so much money compared to a gallon of epoxy resin.

also, since you're based in canada as well, who do you plan on purchasing the glass from? a local supplier here gives me an expensive quote so i might have to look out of town. sorry didnt mean to hijack the thread.
 
The guy I talked to said that a company developed the product and have licened it to company's around the world to make it. So it may be available in other places around the world.

I already bought the rubber. 2 gallons. i may need another, but im not sure yet. i got it from a home hardware. if you have that chain near you, they may be able to get it for you too.
Im getting the glass from a local dealing. they want $16 a square foot(plus 13% tax) for 1/2 inch glass. what were you quoted at? its will cost me roughly $180 for the piece i need.

aha, so they licenced it out. thats great news! means more people can get it in different areas. i wonder what other companies charge per gallon.
