Trying a new waterproofing rubber!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i would be really happy with 80 bucks a gallon, the cheapest ive found so far is 125 for a 2part epoxy. where can it be bought for 80?

Dang, that those prices i was very happy lol stupid question am i looking for pond coat or rubber?

Basslover, how much could u ship this to the uk for?

I'd probs be after a gallon or 2.

it would be good if we could save a few pounds:)

Are there any updates on this stuff? Anyone else using it or done 'testing'? This thread just up and died... lol.

Thanks,

Chris

Too true, thats why its called rip off britain :D
Why don't you simply use gelcoat? Have a look on ebay. There's a gut in Northern Ireland who sells the stuff quite cheaply. Or you can get 10.1kg of epoxy for about 90£ from Germany.pm me if you want the link

I had the tank set up and running for almost 5 months...

During this short time, the only issue i had with it, is it ended up turning a dark brown. Other than that, no leaks, it didnt weaken from what i could feel. When i finally drained it, the rubber was still hardened, and would not peel, or feel like i could rip it off. It also still looked the same in terms of texture, making me feel as though it does not deteriorate or melt away over time. Algae did grow on it, but it came off easily with a gentle wipe with an algae brush.

This was only a 5 month test, but i feel it could last a few years for sure. I ended up selling this tank, to make room for a new, bigger build.

Thanks for the info Joey!

I am however wondering if the other people whom ordered the stuff or were experimenting with it have any progress?
