Nice... Put the Vals in back since they are taller growing. Is that Java Fern in the front left and middle?

There are two Java Fern plants in the tanks. In this pic you will see 3 red boxes. The two on the outside are where I have Java Ferns in the pic. The upper right one is behind the air bubbles from a air stone. The box in the middle is where I added a JF the day after I took the pics.

The plan was for the Jungle Vals to go in the back but I wasn't sure they would grow at all. Put them in front to have an easier time removing them if they didn't grow. They are growing like crazy so it's time to slide them back. Just haven't gotten around to it yet...

Now I know what you are referring to. Those are Amazon swords.

The one in the back middle is over 18 inches tall. The one on the front left is about 16 inches. There is another one behind the one on the front left that is about 14 inches.

These are some of my bigger amazons. The one on the front left is a shoot from the one on the left of my avatar which is 18 inches tall and more than 18 inches wide and completely consumes the left half of my 55 gallon in that pic.

And no I don't use CO2.

So far so good. Not much in terms of anyone chowing on my plants....Then again, pretty much everything in the tank has been raised with these things from the time they were tiny...

I have bamboo in my tank that's been thriving, I've heard it referred to as lucky bamboo before. Its not natural looking in a purist sense but it adds color and structure to the tank, and helps the water quality a bit.
