I've always had been a die-hard CA cichlid addict, but if there were any africans that I can say I've always been a fan of it's frontosas. well, I finally took the plunge and got 10 F1 Mpimbwe juvies. they're actually bigger than I expected at around 2.5" or so. I also got 10 daffodil brichardi that I'm keeping with them hoping a pair or 2 of the brichardi will spawn and provide some free food for the fronts down the road. they're currently in a 55 till they start getting too big for it at which time I'm going to transfer everything from this tank to a 150. in the background are my adonis pleco, L142 pleco and a couple of smallish (~2") syno. schoutedeni.

I was impressed by the color these guys had for only being 2.5" or so. I was also suprised that they were tearing up sinking pellets after only 10 minutes in the tank. their acclimation to the new tank took literally less than 5 minutes.
