Right now I’m in the proscess of looking for a good male EBJD (electric blue jack dempsey) to breed with my female green terror (GT). I’m open to any other fish up for suggestion that u guys and gals think would look cool or be personable I’m jus a:newbie: so explain things fully please:tropicalf

You are wanting to cross a Central American cichlid with a South American. In most cases this can't happen. If I remember right GTs can't cross breed with other fish. Actually most of the South American cichlids can't cross with other fish. So if you want to breed her you will need to get her a male GT.

There are a lot of Central Americans that can cross breed. This gave rise to the whole Flowerhorn side of the hobby. There may be guides or what have you on the internet, here or YouTube that tells you what crosses will give you what FH.

I will say this, if you do make hybrid fish, you need to tell anyone you sell/give them to that they are hybrids. There is too much muddying of the genes as it is.

I understand but now that I think about I might just buy one fish instead of breeding 100+ and having to go through the toils of raising and breed, though i am about to start breeding convicts in a 29
