I believe it is Petenia splendida the red not silver or green *I bought them at petsmart for $30 a pop.* If you can find them cheaper somewhere else, go for it! They say Under four inches they get along fairly well with each other -- but I know that mine sort of fight, but nothing serious! Snooks will get along with most non-bite-size cichlids, catfish, and other larger fishes that don’t pick on them. As for just a single Red snook, im not sure Ive always had more than one at a time...Sorry!

Thats great information ..thank you very much.. i am going to LFS this sat ..bringing in some babies and they will offer credit so i just wanted to be able to check out if they have these.. i would put them in my 125gal with other cichlids ..
 
How are those eggs doing? Hope they are not fungusing.. i want to see babies from these two!!

Well those pics were from the last time(in Jan this year), and they are still digging and doing their thing. They haven't laid again thus far the last time they did it was SO disappointing they all turned to white, hairy eggs. :( I will post new pics here when they lay again, and I still have my fingers crossed about the other just being too young and not another female!!!!!

I havent gotten any fry :( but maybe...do you have any pics of yours?? and what did u do with your fry?
