Trying to crack payara off of live

Liz that name covers quite a few different fish so look into them and decide which one you want to try,but then you can only get whats available when you are ready.They are beautiful fish,my favorite of all are the Tats then the Armatus.They may eat bloodworms but it would be a waste because most of it would probably get sucked in by the filter.

i will post up pics when i get him.. he is labeled sabor tooth barracuda.. and we are picking him up probably tues.. after his tank is ready.. and i will for sure post up pics so you can tell me his postitive ID.. thanks..this one does not look like any of the ones you mentioned but does have similarities to the one in pic that frenchjeep posted..in his link to other thread

i will be watching this closely...beautiful fish by the way.. i am getting saber tooth barracuda so i will be weaning him off live food too...

mshuangchao and krichardson: I was just saying that some of the other fish in that tank eat bloodworms, so the worms have been in there, but he didn't try to eat any. I figured that most fish go nuts over them, so the flavor alone might spark some interest, which would be progress, but it is just another thing on the list that didn't work.

Well, guys, a little update. He ate for the first time today since QT. He ate cut up smelt. Nailed it. I'm excited. I was getting really nervous, but the wait is over.
