A180 is too small for a pair of dovii.

He's right though.
Judging the size of those Dovii by looking at them, the 180 will be ok for another 1-2 years until he exercises other options. They look pretty small to me compared to the Jags in the 4 foot section of the tank - it looks like he split the tank into a 4 foot section and a 2 foot section w/ the divider

It's an opinion. I don't agree. This is the pair I kept for years in a 180. Male was 17 inches and female was about a foot. I respect the opinion but I wholeheartedly disagree with it.

Yes...and that is for the very short term.

The Doviis in the 1st post are not the same you had in the community w/ the GT, Festae, etc, are they?

Yes. I moved them out when I converted the 180 to african.

where did the rest of your SA/CA cichlids go? I would sell the Africans - you can probably make enough from selling them to buy an whole NEW tank LOL

That little tiny male is 10"????!!!

Maybe 9...he's growing. He's about a year old bow.

They are distributed throughout other tanks.

There is an article in the latest Buntbarshe Bulletin (the Journal the American Cichlid Association) you may want to check out, that suggests to be fair to the animal, a 1000 gal tank might not be sufficient.
