ok i'm probably gonna start something here but, does everyone actually test their turnover/flow? or are you basing off what the manufacturer has put on the pump or filter? it would be interesting to actually test the flow by seeing how long it take to either drain of fill the tank them do the math

How would you check the flow rate? And I was thinking about putting 2 eheim 2262 on my 150 gallon tank set up and then have my power head of 1650 gph but it depends if I can get this 600 gallon tank for cheap

I had my system hooked up to a digital flow bench and tested. Included the basket strainer and all. My calculated head loss/flow matched the manufacturer's pump curve spot on.
