Next they will want to pat you down when you cross state lines. Through baby steps we lose more and more freedoms and give more control to the government in the name of safety.
where is our 4th amendment rights in all of this?
Why is it they spend twenty minutes looking at my ID when all the 911 highjackers had valid Virgina drivers licenses?
This is not about safety, its about government control.

i agree Ash..i would just rather be sitting in my seat on the plane knowing everyone was throughly checked then wondering and even experiencing.. anything out of the ordinary... theres no place to run up there... your there and even if they wrestle the suspicious guy to the ground your not going to stop the ticking bomb if he has one.i say check and be checked... scan and pat down ..do what ever you have to do to protect people against terrorism... then we win...but if you are the ones who refuse this pat down and scanner..i wish they would board you all together on your own plane..lolAsh;4638114; said:You took what I typed the wrong way. If you havent read the article lately there was a gator that someone brought on a plane that crashed and the gator was the sole survivor which is why I posted gator on there to show how crazy people are. The gator on the other hand I believe was on a small private flight, but nonethless someone still decided to bring it along. I never said that people would hijack a plane with it. I doubt someone would do that on a commercial flight and wouldnt get that far but I am just pointing out that people in general are crazy enough to do weird stuff like that.
Simply put: I am just saying that in general I would feel safer having security mesaures then not having them or having them to lienient where a real weapon (as in bomb/gun/knife/razor) could make its way on the plane that I may be flying on.
ah ok. sry but grouping it with the guns and such made it seem like you where saying someone who would hijack a plane with a gator. as a keeper of crocadillian, kinda pissed me off. you have my senserous(sp) appologyAsh;4638114; said:You took what I typed the wrong way.
