Whooah:headbang2we placed our specially grown out Oscar (6/7") in with our TSN (18/19') a couple of months ago and made sure we put in a large size goldfish (5") as a buffer. The food plan was large pellets, frozen bloodworms and zero feeders. This appeared to be going well...until today when... :WHOA:...the buffer got eaten. It looked like they were all three co-existing and then...boom...our TSN had this huge belly and upon investigation...:(...the goldfish was soooo gone and the TSN's belly was huge and I missed it by about five minutes.

I have no regrets about putting our Oscar in with our TSN...but...sure glad we also put in the buffer gold fish. Good thing we have a couple more on stand by...we call it the colliseum tank. I was actually really sad to loose this gold fish......didn't mean to get (sort of) attached to what was originally a feeder gold fish.

Never trust a catfish.....

I put a TSN in my 150 and he's taking names on all the fish I used to cycle the water in tank. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes after anything he thinks he can eat.

When I saw the thread title I instantly imagined "TSN ate puffer fish"

While I'm sorry that your goldie got eaten, it could have been worse...it could have been a puffer that he ate...and that wouldn't end well at all...

Thought the same thing. That would have been really bad.
