TSN help... need advice

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea I know it can be bad when he vomits.... but not really worried so much about that.... the tank has a turnover rate of around 12 and about 6 times the media needed to keep up with the ammonia.... firm believer in over filtering.... but I already do 2 30 % water changes a week but will definitely do more when it happens

I've seen my TSN eat rocks a few times. He usually just coughs them up. I would think the plastic has only one way out and that's up. The plastic won't break down so as sbuse suggested I'd just wait to see if he can purge it and then clean the water as best you can.

Well I just kept feeding him and today I woke up and he threw it up finally but didn't throw anything else up.... so thankfully all is well again

Sounds good, maybe try to feed him softer and more broken down foods for a while.

Good to hear a happy ending. This is why generally I myself, and will always suggest to others to keep any and all decorations(as much as possible) out of a large catfish tank. They always end up eating it including heaters as I've found out the hard way. 300w makes your body twitch a little when you reach in a tank lol.

I know that must have sucked but kinda funny... I was hoping since he doesn't get anything hard he would leave them alone.... but I guess it fell off at night and he just picked it up
