TSN & PBASS??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well as for what necrocanis said a TSN's outh can open to like an entire circle....so for a TSN at 19" it may be able to ope its whole mouth to somewhere near 4-5" in Diameter but maybe more... so just do what most of the guys on here say....be very watchful of them if you do make your mind up in makin them go together

i have'nt actually seen the pbass, but i saw a 8'' or so one the other day and it wasnt overly that tall.iv got a 6'' syndontis and a 12'' murray cod with the TSN and he hasnt tried to munch em down yet.i might try to get a pbass around the 12'' mark.i was seeing if i could get away with the smaller one as it was alot cheaper.in aus a 8'' Pbass $200 & 12'' bout $350.il keep u's posted.

I would say that if its a 10-12" temensis it could potentially become a problem if your TSN has aggressive tendencies but if its a 12" mono then probably not. Temensis are significantly slimmer than monos at that size but the overall diameter of a 10-12" peacock bass should be 5-8" which I guestimated on the height of mine at around that size. I had a 22" TSN in with mine and the smallest was 10" or so cichla mono and never had any problems. As long as you feed your TSN often enough and in large enough quantities you should probably be alright. ~Trent

cheers for the advice mate,il give it a go!
