No such thing. There are many catfish species that are commonly referred to as "shovelnose cats" but the two most common are lima and tiger shovelnose cats, so yours is probably either one or the other.basstank;4314868; said:hey how about a normal shovelnose?? i really want it and it looks nice how long would it stay in a 150g?? idk the domensions but i want one. i dont have a big tank yet because i am lookingfor a big tank... can som1 help me find a tank that is pretty big... max is 260 gallons... i need it kinda cheap so anything that could get me started looking for a nice tank.
It would be fine for a few years, but a permanent home would need at least a few more inches of width, due to the fact that they will eventually get to at least 20" (and 24" isn't uncommon for older specimens).Diskboy12;4315472; said:A Lima, or "common shovelnose" would be a good one for a 150, and yeah its all about dimensions not gallons.
