yeah but if he doesnt watch and misses the part when the fish spits it out , he may miss the chance to retrieve it before the fish eats it again lol,,

Some varied response's firstly hope all gets better, my advice would be to just wait and see as someone else mentioned. Having said that a couple of weeks back my 19" TSN ate a 8" Fire eel whole, I did manage to get him to release the eel just by tapping his tail fin gently with the end of a pole it spooked him just enough to spit the eel back up and the eel lived. However with the filter block I would not recommend that you spook him as the block is somewhat of a diff shape to an eel.

Yeah, those big cats seems to do this fairly often, but usually manage to just puke it up. This is definitely not the first time I've heard of it. I'm really happy for you that he didn't have any complications.

I'm pretty sure one of my guys ate a glass thermometer the other day. I left in there for only a few moments to get a quick reading since I don't keep one in there for those exact reasons. Anyways, I went to get it and couldn't find it anywhere. My husband thought I was crazy and just set it down somewhere. I was freaking out since it was glass, but was hopeful since they're generally pretty thick. Two days later, I found it floating in the tank. Next time I'll just get a bucket of water out and stick it in there. My mistake for thinking it would be fine for the 45 seconds it was stuck to the glass, of which I was watching it for 30. Not sure which of the the TSN's and TSNXRCT was the culprit.:screwy:
