could be stress how long has it been in there?

I agree with Crazy Taco.......... Could be stress related. If not it has to be something with the water quality. I've kept a bunch of different cats and when the whiskers start curling or shriveling its either stress or water related

Good luck.............

Usually they start to look eroded when they get like that. They are really flimsy to begin with, and in later stages the skin comes off and only like the nerve or something is hanging out. Then fin and tail rot sets in. I always consider this the onset of fin and tail rot in catfish. I would treat it as such. Everytime I have treated my fish for fin and tail rot when their wiskers look like that they are better in a week or two. Usually due to ammonia, but can be from stress also. Is your filtration pretty strong on that tank? If not your filter could be adjusting to the new addition and you might get an ammonia spike.

I had the same thimg with my first RTC X TSN mostly due to stress of a new enviorment I do believe! Watch him closly I had to hand feed mine to get him back to health!

The tank they where in busted, and that was the only thing I could get right then.

He acts normal, he eats good, still swims around alot. Im just going to watch him real close for right now and see what happens.
