As the title says... after doing my water change today I noticed her moving about in her pipe and saw she had a white eye... hard to get a good shot of it but pic should suffice.
Water quality is on par I do 40% now on this 210 gallon twice a week.. other stock includes 3 chocolate cichlids(temporalis)
And 3 catfish (dwarf giraffe,Raphael, jaguar) and a EBA..
All fish get along great!
May have happened when she adventures out at night. Yesterday the eye was perfectly fine and today it's like this. She does sometimes bang into things when she trying to fit into places she is too big for lol... what would advice be on helping her out? Just water changes and maybe a bit of salt?
Second pic is just for fun.. she likes to lay on her back during the day(shes not dead lol)

Thanks in advance

to me looks like a injury had this happen to one of my delhezis. I would keep it up with the salt its all I ever use when a fish gets injured although im in canada so I dont have any fish medicines available. That second pic is great lol I love spiny eels so much personality
Also in canada so I feel ur pain.. but meds scare me.. I dont know enough about them and worry I use the wrong thing or too much/too little... so prob a good thing I cant readily get them.
Thanks for the reply Kelly_Aquatics Kelly_Aquatics

I’d do water changes and epsom salt 1 tbsp per 5g. These kind of eels are sensitive to salt and meds. If u do add salt id slowly over a day. Think water changes and some epsom salt should help for now.

Thank you for reply kno4te kno4te will do as u and Kelly have suggested

Been a couple days now.. big water change and added salt over 24 hrs... white eye is clouding a bit more.. maybe gets worse looking before it gets better I'm not sure... changed her hide yesterday to a 4 inch so she has more room... saw she was panicking trying to maneuver herself yesterday so that's probably the issue

Since getting worse. I’d try a maracyn2 at half dose and if tolerates then add the other half dose in several hours.
