Tube coming down???? Is this happening?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A 75 gallon is really the minimum size tank for a breeding pair. In fact many breeders will tell you that having larger gallon tanks helps minimize aggression between partners. But luckily, you don't seem to be dealing with aggression issues with your pair. So she hasn't laid eggs yet, no big deal, increase their feedings and keep up on water changes. Increase feedings, especially with frozen bloodworm. Some females lay eggs once every few months, then others lay every 10-16 days. Each female can be different with their egg cycles.

Little update, the female tube is coming down again, this morning is down more than I've ever seen it, she's been since yesterday sound dry runs on the clay dish. For the first time she is not eating, actually since yesterday she hasn't eaten, she ate blood worms and meal worms in the morning and some pellets after.

But since yesterday morning she has not touch any food, even mealworms that are her favorite. Today a meal worms fell on her dish and she took it and split it out of the dish instead of eating it. Her belly also looks kinda full . Fingers crossed for today :)

Woohoo! She's laying eggs!!! But she's being aggressive towards him. Watching them closely. He's not being aggressive towards her he's pretty much just defending himself from herm
