What is everyone's "Niche"?
What drives you about this hobby. What is the goal?
I'll start. For me I think it's beyond just being a collector of the exotics now. I found my niche w/PBass. Hoping to one day pair up something I have so I can experience the joy of breeding. To this point I've just been an avid collector/ hobbyist that wanted to experience as many species as I can. Sorta like in high school when you wanted to bang every hot chick in school..LOL...just to find out you don't want to settle down with them and just wanted to have a taste...
If and when this goal has been reached, I think I would love to try collecting out in the wild as most of the serious hobbyist do and bring home my catch.
After that I would probably attempt to climb Mt.Everest or scuba the depths of Lake Tanganyika. Maybe a safari in the jungles of Africa. Perhaps wrestle a grizzly bear...alright, I'm hella board at work..hahaha...
But seriously, does anyone else have a goal with this hobby?

I don't think there is a "Goal" in the word "Hobby"

as far as goal goes idk, i have a lsit of species that ive sorta always wanted to keep, from freshwater stingrays to mormyrids, to aros.
i dont know if many of us actually have a niche, like i am definetly a cone suer or oddballs, but who isnt these days?
idk i think this IS our niche, ]v[onsterfishkeeping!
