looking good im thinking about turning a 100 into a salt but idk yet how much did it cost you to get it going if you dont mind me asking and wiggles why cant you use canister filters in just curious because thats what i was planning on using but if i cant ill find something else haha

Canister filters are much more maintenance-intensive on a saltwater aquarium because they turn into nitrate factories without frequent cleaning; biological filtration is king for saltwater which is why a sump is preferable, if possible.

Ty sir. It's truly not much to look at now but I plan on it looking pretty nice as time goes on.

To start it off for price:

Bag of salt mix - $26
40 lb bag of aragonite - $45
Bottle of instant cycle - $25
19 lbs of live rock + 1 lb of rubble - $100 (i got a deal)

The fish prices are not really needed due to they were optional

So pretty much $200 just to get it going to where it's at now.

buddy hear me out! maybe just maybe look into peacock mantis shrimp and youl fall in love just look into them. there active cool looking big shrinp than flicks and generates as much power as some rifles! so you need special glass but doesnt cost too much more at all and there over all just a ****in beast! great awesome predator and yet still shines off its beuty and is active agile little ****ers who break divers fingures single flick. and well yes this may have happend to me but ah I rather not get into detail as it ****in stings like your fingure got cut ****in off
