What turnover rate should I want per hour for my 9" Channa Pulchra? It's in a 110 gallon tank alone.

Atleast 8x per hour but that depends on what kind of filtration u use, more with hob less with canisters and sumps. More the better!

Go S. Vettel #1 rb8

I'd say 3-4x should be fine; depends how often you feed, how many plants. I've never kept Pulchra, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

Right now, it's only minimally planted. But I'm only going to be adding more plants as time goes on.

Maybe posting a FTS will help me get some more responses. Adding more plants tomorrow.

snakeheads don't need that much current, some of my channa tanks are stagnant. The fact that they can breathe air and are very tolerant to dirty water makes them pretty indifferent to water flow. Actually, most channa aren't great swimmers and prefer lower current so I would advise a smaller filter with a lower turnover rate but it doesnt really matter. If you have enough plants and your tank is able to cycle itself relatively efficiently such that you dont constantly need to do WC it will be fine
