Turquoise severum care

Bought one yesterday, my first cichlid in a loooongg time.
He has eaten some flake food, but I was wondering what the overall care for these guys are. It's in a 10 gallon, till I get my 40 gal cycled.

Severums, are generally easy to care for. They would love a supplement of vegetables every now and then, and are usually quite social and like to be kept with other Severums.

Was thinking about getting more, how many sevs can fit in a 40 gallon breeder??

0 in my opinion, they should be in at the very least, a 4x18" footprint.

Ok then...I have a spare 120 gallon, was going to put an oscar in it but never mind. How many sevs for a 120?

4x2 footprint? Other residents?

4 Perhaps? Hard to say as they can often be quite aggressive to con-specifics so it may not end up well.

No other residents, Already cycled and ready to go.
This little guy is only 2 inches, he was with some slightly smaller ones at the petstore.
I figured they have been together for a while, I've been keeping an eye on them and no one picked any up for a few months.
Think he can go with them?

Sure, but be prepared in the future if any problems arise to swap and change around - I had to with my Severums.

I agree with japes about 4. I have a breeding pair and a few other smaller rotkiels in a 150. aggression is mild toward the smaller ones. I have a big piece of driftwood in the middle to split up territories. you will be way happier with severums over oscars.
