i have 2 turtles 1 is a map turtle and the other is a hylogrific turtle i have a spare 6x1.5x1.5 ft tank and was wondering if i could keep fish with them if so what fish

It's not a good Idea. I know map turtles will eat small fish, and nip holes in big ones fins. If you try it, use cheap fish and lots of hiding places for them. But they may end up a snack.

in other words if the fish are healthy and fast it should work out, if the fish is sick though be careful, i once had my turtle kill a sick bicher

I would avoid putting the turtle with any slower bottom fish that might be too easy to pass up as a snack

I keep my turtles in a pond with 2 foot long koi, some 8 inch goldfish and some little fantails. They nip the fins of the fantails sometimes.

Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. A lot of the time it also depends on the type of turtle. Right now I have a common pleco and female convict cichlid living with my 3 inch long Stinkpot Musk Turtle. He totally ignores both fish. The female convict actually follows the turtle around everywhere. Do you know if your map turtle is a male or female? The sexes have different diets. I'm guess that the other turtle is a Hieroglyphic River Cooter (P. concinna hieroglyphica)? They are primarily vegetarians. I'd try it out with a smart, cheap species of fish like a convict. They're smart enough to hide from a turtle in most cases.

Here's my turtle and fishes.
