You can actually bump up the water temp closer to 80 F. since they're still young and growing. And I agree that they are YBS. Here's a good care sheet on them. If you want to read further info you can check out the RES care sheet on that site since they're both the same species and their care in interchangeable.

sometimes it depends on how big their enviroment is. I have a red ear slider he only grew an inch while he was in a ten gallon then i upgraded to a bigger size which i believe is a 20 gallon and he grew another 2 inches so maybe you should upgrade on size u can usually get used tanks pretty cheap just make sure they dont leak.
 
Not sure what ur set up is, but here's our turtle set up (not the best pic as we were tweaking it). My bf made an above tank platform for them.
