I hope you mean 'tame' as in 'not aggressive around me' rather than 'I want to be able to hold him.' Fair enough, it is important to have the animal be calm around humans, especially if veterinary treatment is needed, but turtles are a 'look but dont touch' animal, and if you want a pet to handle, get a hamster. Frequent handling, especially of a WC specimen, will just cause unneccesary stress.
