My common snapper has a tapeworm, I was wondering how I can kill or get rod of it pulled about 2' out of this tiny turtle, hes just over the size of a 50cent piece

They make a reptile de-wormer. I would contact a vet who specializes in herps and see if they can either help you treat it or tell you where you can buy some wormer.

Thats what I was afraid of I found the turtle and really dont have vet money at the moment

this is intended for fish will it work for the turtle

Are you shure it is tape worm? If you pulled it and it came out Im more in the side of a nematod of some kind. What does it look like? If its a white worm like thing its defenetly a nematod, a tape worm its really flat and has segments wich easily break. By the way if the turt looks healty and eats you dont have anything to worry about, in fact unless your turt was langishing it is probably more dangerous to try to deworm him due to the toxicity of the medication. After all its all to natural for turts to have parasites and snappers are no push over. If it looks fine just give it lots of food and space, you may not have to do anything. By the side note the presence of parasites its one of the reasons why it is preferable to buy cb reptiles insted of catching them yourself, cb normal comon snappers are readbly avaible and cheap, just make shure you have that REALLY big tank or pond ready for it.

it was white and in between round and flat and had what looked like perforated segments but is I went slow they did not break Ive pulled out 2 segments so far once the ground thaws and he gets big enough Ill put him in the pond out back plenty of room for him out there i may get him a large tank If i grow attached tho he eats and seems fine as long as he'll be fine Ill just leave it alone I was just worried about the effect on him long and short term
