If money is not a issue,

you can try:

Podocnemis unifilis

or any in the same family like Podocnemis erythrocephala

http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/wo...urtles_-_Podocnemis_erythrocephala/index.html

gorgeous turtles from the same river systems that your fish are found in.. '

you can also try: Peltocephalus dumeriliana
Peltocephalus is praticly impossible to find and doesant do well on deep water;) In adicion to flys here´s a few more choices. But all need a out of water basking area. If you dont want to lower your water level a good alternative is to add a above ground basking platform. Also to avoid troble related to eggs serch always for a male turt. You want a big turt species that doesant get intimidated by your big fish but also that wont take chunks out of them. There are at least 3 species that will do. The first 2 are the most comon in trade podocnemis species unifilis and erytrocephala like shells has already gessed. They are both gentle giants and mostly herbivor so they arent going to mess with your fish. But a important point is that you may have dificultys getting unifilis legaly in the us. Another good species for your setup is the painted terrapin Callagur borneoensis another gentle giant mostly herbivor. They are very good swimers and your tank has plenty of that. All like the high temps you keep your fish in and have very good personalitys. The breeding coloration of a male calagur is realy striking. You should try to serch on places like kingsnake and on this one Ive seen several times adult expecimens of this turts for sale. However dont mix a small especimen with your fish for obvious reasons. Matas, snapers and soft shells will not do well on your tank:grinno: Another good species that is if you can get one is Orlitilia but this one may be more agressive for your fish

i will put a large floating log in it i havent got the tank yet but perhaps i will get a 480 gallon tank instead and i will have to make sure the log doesnt get cuaght on my tree stumps in the tank but im thinkin a red headed amazon river turtle

And i'm thinking you should get another tank and put the turtles in there.
