ummmm....those are not mutilated turtles. They just have mutations. Not torture. Also, speaking from a strictly scientific point of view it would be very difficult to rebreed those on purpose. It relies on a recessive mutation getting through in the millions gamets available for development. They can try to create the turtle or get them by accident, but there's no way that those could be mass produced.

i volunteer at the aquarium in st. louis and we have a 2 headed snake and both heads eat. if only one head ate though the animal would survive. they share a stomach and everything else.

i think the point here is, people should refrain from making a quick buck out of these poor abnormally born babies. i mean i doubt if they screen the buyers if they could trully take care of these young ones. being blind, they need expert care. animals with disabilities should not be bred for the market! yes this might not be torture as of the moment, but noone can ensure the lives of these young turtles once theyre sold to people who are just intrested in the novelty (like most buyers), all the more here. this case could be much worse. to be honest with you guys, this disturbs me a bit and i just want to say i hope these guys hoping to make money out of these poor animals go to turtle hell!
