1 and a half months isn't very much time. turtles are skiddish animals. it took me at least 4 months before my turtle stopped seeing me as a threat.

I think you are just going to have to ignore them for a little while except for when you feed them, soon they will be trying to swim through the glass to get to you every time you walk by. give it time, especially if they are still small.

I have a loggerhead turtle.. And it takes a while for them to be comfy with you.. I keep my tank around 75-79..

Give it time. The more you push the less progress they will make.
