Turtle With Monster Fish?

Not really land. But you can set up some drift wood so it can climb up it and rest a little above water to get oxygen. All turtles will need this. There is no such thing as a "fully aquatic turtle". They all rise from the water some time even if it for a relaxing gasp of air.

Yes they can but not many turtles are going to be happy without anything
To rest on. You can do a native
Tank with an alligator snapper and use large river rocks stacked on the aides of a tank as a resting area. For all you will need a resting area where they can be partly out water.

I have a nice peice of driftwood in there he could easily fit his body on it and have jut enough room for his head to stick out is this fine? Or does the body have to be out too?

STOP giving out false information about frts..they are not illegal to sell/own in the states. It is only illegal to IMPORT/EXPORT frts from different countries... so if you have one before the ban it is perfectly legal and who knows, someone might already be breeding them..just not mainstream so a lot of you don't even know about it. Research some more before you post comments and act like you know it all. THanks

If you get a turtle do some research on the needs/care for it. A lot of turtles need UVB light to properly digest food. Without it they can and will die a long painful death due to poor nutrition. The shell and plates will start to deteriorate and health will fail. Good Luck with your search. Oh, and on the Florida soft shells, they need to bask, I have watch them bask daily when I lived down there and I have no idea about the spiny shells.
